Montenegro’s government recently disclosed discussions between Justice Minister Andrej Milović and US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officials regarding Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs.
On May 22nd, Milović met with SEC representatives, including Enforcement Director Gurbir Grewal, to discuss the SEC’s fraud case against Kwon and Terraform Labs. Kwon is currently in Montenegro, awaiting a decision on extradition requests from the US and South Korea.
Kwon was arrested for using forged documents but released after serving a four-month sentence. Appeals filed by his lawyers have delayed extradition proceedings. Ultimately, Justice Minister Milović may decide whether to extradite Kwon to the US or South Korea, depending on court rulings.
