For comparison, Grayscale’s Mini Ethereum Trust charges 0.15% and Franklin Templeton’s spot Solana ETF charges 0.19%, according to data from SoSoValue.

A key feature of both trusts is built-in staking. Morgan Stanley plans to stake a portion of each fund’s underlying holdings — MSSE expects to stake between 50% and 80% of its Ether under normal conditions — and pass the resulting rewards through to investors rather than retaining any share. That combination of spot price exposure and staking yield inside a standard brokerage ticker is a structure few issuers have offered at this fee level.

The launches follow the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT), which debuted earlier in 2026 and had gathered more than $381 million in assets under management through July 16. Ally Wallace, Morgan Stanley’s Global Head of ETFs, said the new products reflect the “natural evolution” of the firm’s ETP suite, which now exceeds $14 billion in assets across 22 products.

Distribution reach is a notable factor here. Morgan Stanley’s wealth management arm includes roughly 16,000 financial advisors overseeing more than $9 trillion in client assets, and its ownership of E*TRADE — which completed its own rollout of spot bitcoin, ether and solana trading for eligible clients this month — gives the firm a direct line to self-directed retail investors as well. Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas noted the launch is the largest ether and solana product debut since the category’s original ETFs, given Morgan Stanley’s scale.

The immediate test now shifts from product design to demand: whether MSSE and MSOL draw sustained institutional and retail inflows, and how staking rewards translate into realized fund performance once validator activity is factored in. With ether staking near record levels — 33% of total supply currently locked — and Solana’s staked share above 67%, both networks arrive at this institutional entry point with tight liquid supply, a dynamic issuers will be watching closely in the weeks ahead.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management launched two new exchange-traded products on NYSE Arca on July 28, the Morgan Stanley

[6

post-515","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-eft
["GET
